Somatic Dance Workshop with Donna Redlick from Vancouver

March 12th 12:30-3pm

“Moving-in-Relation: To Self, Others, and Space”

Join Donna Redlick - Vancouver based contemporary dance artist, Certified Movement Analyst, Registered Somatic Movement Educator, and founder of Moving Arts & Somatic Studies - for a somatic approach to contemporary dance through methodologies found in Bartenieff Fundamentals and Laban Movement Analysis.

The workshop will begin with a Bartenieff based floor warm up to support full-body integration. Following warm-up students will investigate moving-in-relation: to self, others and space. All explorations are led through a conceptual approach to dance.

Open to contemporary dancers and movers who have at least 2 to 3 years of experience. Students should be able to level-change with ease. A curious nature and willingness to explore is essential!
