I'm now in the city of Saskatoon! I am glad to be back but so far I have been having trouble getting hold of my billet. He was supposed to be home yesterday but no sign of him so far!!! Good thing I know a few people here so I can couch surf. I am staying with Brian (my old roomate) for now but hopefully everything will be all sorted out by tonight.
So here is the latest update.
Then I was off to Winnipeg. After a very long and tiring journey we arrived in one piece. The festival was great! I had nothing but good press. Four star review in the Winnipeg Free Press and I also made it onto the top ten Fringe Finest list for the Winnipeg Sun. (unfortunately they lost my review and were unable to print it but the did love the show) I also got a very nice review in the Jenny (fringe paper) While there I did a guest spot on the Red Hot Cabaret( Holly Treddenick's show) which was a total hoot!
Now I am in Saskatoon and getting ready to tech tomorrow. I had a good rehearsal with the local dancers and I think we are ready to go. I have to go check out the venue today as I may need to get some dance floor for it (made of cruddy plywood which is not nice on the toes or the costumes) but I am hoping for the best. We have great show dates and times and may even get to see a few ourselves! I had a quick interview with the local radio channel yesterday and hoping to hook up with some of the television channels soon.
I will write more once the festival gets started, but until then......
I guess everyone knows by now but I am moving to England on Thursday. I am pretty excited to be going soon. I am trying to collect mailing addresses for people so if you would like me to write snail mail please send me your address. I will have less Internet access when I am there. Please keep in touch.

I know it has been a while but I am finally writing to fill you in on the latest scoop on the summer tour 2001.
Ottawa was a terrific fringe and “3” won the award for "Outstanding Concept"
The Toronto fringe was an excellent time and I managed to see most of my friends and family. I would like to say a special thanks to Mo and Sarah for putting us up and to Alan Page for his sponsorship of the Toronto Fringe Festival! Yay Alan!
Next was Winnipeg. After a very long road trip we arrived in one piece. I was treated to a wonderful four-star review on the opening day of my show in the Winnipeg Free Press. Despite the great review and being listed in the Fringe Finest Top Ten list for the Winnipeg Sun My houses were fairly small to average but very appreciative. I had some very nice comments from my audience members on the Winnipeg CBC Web site for the fringe this year.I was disappointed to find out that the woman from the Sun had liked my show a lot but somehow the review had been lost and not printed at all during the fringe... wah! It was still nice to be included in the Fringe Finest list though.
Saskatoon was by far the best fringe this year and the most fun. I was so excited to hook up with the 3 dancers I had been working with on "Puppets" again. The show in Saskatoon was very well attended and WOW!!! We got the most audience comments I have ever seen in the comment book. The show was a huge success and we had several people come to see it twice and bring friends with them the second time around! The Puppets performers, Chisa, Anastasia and Nadine performed wonderfully and were handing out flyers like crazy! I would like to thank the Tataryns for the lovely garden party and a HUGE Thanks to Rose (an exchange student from Holland staying with them) for her amazing flyering abilities!!! We were reviewed by the local radio CFCR but I missed the program so I don't have a copy of it. Nadine is hunting it down for us. I did speak to him and he really enjoyed the performance. There were 40 shows at the Sask. fringe and the Star Phoenix reviewed 39 of them..... guess who was not reviewed.... yep that would be us. This really was disappointing but what can you do? On a good note they did use a picture in the paper a couple of times.
Next I was saying goodbye to fringe friends and off to Bruno.>
Where the heck is that????
I flew into Hamilton on the 19th and took a bus back to TO and now here I am. I am going to be in the city for a short while and I am trying to figure out what work I can line up while here. There has been some interest in having me perform “3” again before I head out to Marmora and my sisters place. I will be performing “3” there and I have sent out an invite by email to those of you who live in the surrounding area. The performance is the 2nd weekend of Sept. and you are all invited to a BBQ and party at Lou's place as well as the show. She has a huge yard so bring your tents if you would like to camp out over night. If you didn't get this info or need me to send it to you again let me know.
For now I am just trying to sort out my work visa permit for the UK. Yes I am moving over with Justin for a whole year. I am very excited and hope to see as many people as I can before I head out.
Last but not least, I would like to thank Daphne Summers for the amazing job in designing and printing ALL of the posters and flyers for “3” for the ENTIRE Summer!!!!! You Rock Girl! And to Alan Page for agreeing to take over the Free Flow Web site. (we will be looking for a new free hosting site as NBCI is no longer offering free space) Stay tuned for details.
