On April 6th, Free Flow Dance joined forces with the Mysterium Choir at Grace Westminster Church. Accompanied by an original musical composition by Lia Pas, dancers Jackie Latendresse, Kelly Van Damme, Micheal Bantjes and Danica McNab performed “a small piece of sky”. This was not Free Flow's first collaboration with Lia Pas, and would not be the last. On June 10th, a new collaborative piece titled “A Tender and Violent Duet” was presented at The Refinery as part of the She Bam Festival. At this event, Free Flow also presented “Nerve”, choreographed by Jackie Latendresse, and “Triptych”, choreographed by Danny Grossman.
Our International Dance Day show was held at the Free Flow Dance Centre on April 29th, celebrating dance in all its forms. Be sure to come out for The Great Mystery, a collaboration between Free Flow Dance and Adrian Stimson, combining the art, science and aboriginal mythologies of the Milky Way; you can expect dancers, video installations, spoken word, sculptures and a surreal environment, creating a theatrical experience you'll never forget. It's taking place at The Refinery on October 21st and 22nd.
