Free Flow Dance November 2008 Newsletter
Summer was great to us this year and we have had a busy but successful autumn season! Free Flow Dance Theatre has officially relocated itself to the Refinery Theatre space at 609 Dufferin Avenue in Saskatoon where it now holds all regular company classes and rehearsals. The company is very pleased with its new home!
Late this summer company dancers Kyle Syverson and Elissa Houk were featured performers at the Saskatoon River Landing Fireworks Festival.
Jackie Latendresse presented her newest full length work “A Dark Faerie Tale” at the September 27th Works in progress showing along side of guest choreographers Entre Deux Danse from the East Coast, Laura Kappel and Liisa Murray from Ontario and Truus Verkley from Alberta. The show was extremely well attended and the audience feedback was much appreciated by the performers. Thank you to the board members and to Marcy P. for donating items to the raffle basket at this event! We appreciate it very much!
The Free Flow Dance Theatre company retreat was held in Manitou Springs just outside of Watrous, SK on October 25 and 26. The company dancers, artistic director and assistant spent the weekend discussing the previous year and planning for 2009 alongside of a dip or two in the healing hot mineral pool. A special thank you is extended to Adrian Stimson and Happy Grove for the use of their lovely cabin for our lunch meeting on Saturday afternoon!
