Free Flow Update October 2002Hello everyone!
Just a short note on what is up with me lately. I have finished 4 weeks of the arts workshop tour and there are four more to go. We have been all over the province of Saskatchewan. A great way to see the place I must say.
Unfortunately I started feeling sick last week and tried to keep working. Since then I have gotten pretty bad. I just got back from the doctor (again) and I have bronchial pneumonia. They are testing my blood for TB and other scary things just in case I also am suffering from Strep Throat as well but that is starting to clear up due to all the heavy- duty antibiotics I am on I have taken the week off of work to get well and have been instructed to stay in bed and NO EXERCISE! This staying in bed stuff gets a little hard after 4 or 5 days and I am rapidly running out of comic books!
On a good note, I have started working on a new piece with 5 dancers from Regina, which is going fabulously well! The first segment of the piece “Glee” will be shown in Saskatoon on November 2nd at the Dare to Dance Festival. I am co-producing a show for the Her-icane Ethel Women’s festival in March with Misty Wensel a choreographer/dancer friend of mine from Regina. The show will include the full version of the new piece I am working on and some other new works. I am thinking of calling the new piece “There once was a Ball…”
Well that is the update from me for now. I am looking for an affordable flight back home for the holidays. I hope to fly into Toronto around the end of November and to stay until just after New Year. Don’t forget there will be a party Moulin Rouge style! I will send out details later on.
If you get a chance drop me a note to ease my housebound boredom.
