Free Flow Dance Theatre launched their new Body Worker program today! This pilot program is designed to support dance artists' health so that we can prevent and rehabilitate injuries, mitigate health risks, and dance longer and stronger! We kicked off the program with HDC Screening and collaborative communication utilizing our Screening Tools and Communication Form Dance Resources. HDC Director and Dance Artist, Jennifer Bezaire, participated in the screen with her fellow company artists this weekend. Well done Free Flow! Kudos for prioritizing dancer health and facilitating communication and collaboration between the dance community and health care professionals. HDC wishes you a happy, healthy dance season!
Special thank you to Paula Sather from Mackie Physiotherapy, Kathy Bond from Saskatoon Pilates, Janis Bassingthwaighte from Bassingthwaighte Therapeutic Massage Clinic, and Kathy Morgan from The Mitzvah Technique for participating today!

The W.I.P (Works in Progress) New Dance Series is an annual presentation by Free Flow Dance Theatre Inc., a leading edge non-profit dance company known for its innovative and risk-taking modern choreography.
The W.I.P series, now in its 14th year, consists of two in-studio showcases of 4-5 new choreographed dance works, audience feedback, mentorship opportunities, workshops and our spectacular W.I.P Gala event. In line with its philosophy, the W.I.P Series nourishes community with dance that is ground breaking, fun and accessible to all. From June to December, Saskatoon comes alive with this series of new dance works from talented choreographers and dancers in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and beyond.
The objective of the W.I.P New Dance Series is threefold:
We are pleased to announce that for 2017, the performances will be held on June 17th and Sept 23rd W.I.P Gala will be held in the late fall or early winter. The W.I.P events are the most prominent dance presentations of the year for Free Flow Dance. Your involvement will help us to continue to nurture and celebrate contemporary dance through this innovative series that supports and promotes a diversity of talented emerging and professional choreographers.
This year's W.I.P presentations will feature some of the top choreographers and dancers from the local, provincial and Canadian arts community. The W.I.P. Series is possible, in part, because of the generous spirit of the many artists and community members who are involved. But we need your support to help ensure this program continues to flourish and evolve.
Your sponsorship contribution goes directly to pay the artistic performance fees and facility costs for the performance events. It will also help support the promotional efforts that spread the word about the W.I.P Series to the wider community. Lastly, your support will help to keep the ticket prices affordable, so that many people can take advantage of what the series has to offer.
Thank you for your time and generosity. I hope that you will support the W.I.P Gala, and by extension, the development of diverse arts programming in our community. We look forward to sharing this enriching year of artful engagement with you in 2017!
