International Dance Day Performance 2017!
Call for performers of all dance styles and genres!
Free Flow Dance Theatre is hosting an International Dance Day Celebration Performance at the Free Flow Dance Centre, 224 25 th St. W. Saskatoon, on Saturday April 29 th at 7pm.
We invite you to be a part of the world wide celebration of DANCE! All emerging-professional and professional dance groups or soloists are welcome to participate in this performance opportunity! Please email Jackie Latendresse as soon as possible at email@example.com to express your interest. You should include your contact name, phone number and email address as well as your form/style of dance. All acts should be between 4-7 minutes in length. Salary Dancer Offer 2017 Base salary $3500
Understudy Dancer Offer 2017 Unpaid training opportunity for emerging artist age 16+ with potential paid opportunities.
Time period: 28 weeks - see attached schedule of dates below.
Dancers must be age 18+ and working at an advanced level in modern/contemporary dance and ballet.

Please note that these are approximate dates as sometimes extra performance opportunities arise throughout the year or theatres are not available for the dates that we request etc. We will endeavour to create schedules with dancer input as per usual.
Schedule details rehearsal hours and classes
Ideally we would like to schedule a 30 min warm up or mini class followed by a 1.5 hour working period 3X per week. Preference to daytime week day hours.
Class schedule - No fees - we require our dancers to train regularly.
Tuesdays 6:30-7:15pm Conditioning class
Wednesdays 5:45-6:15pm Floor Barre and 6:30-8pm Modern Dance

Fundraising Coordinator Position - Free Flow Dance Theatre
Free Flow Dance Theatre is a not for profit charitable organization. The company is seeking a fundraising coordinator to help out with its events and performances throughout the year. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about the arts and looking for volunteer experience that is meaningful and fun. An ideal fundraising coordinator should have the following skills:
* Works well with others and the public.
* Is fluent in spoken and written English
* Has time and energy to spend developing relationships with potential donors and attending events to build these relationships and spread the word about Free Flow Dance Theatre
* Is self-motivated and driven.
* Enjoys working with dancers and other artists.
* Is a good problem solver.
* Has basic conflict/resolution skills.
* Has a flexible schedule and is available on evenings and weekends
* Good organizational skills.
The fundraising coordinator will work closely with other Free Flow Dance Theatre staff and volunteers to organize fundraising events for the organization. They will also be asked to attend community events throughout the year to represent Free Flow Dance Theatre and build relationships with other community organizations and philanthropists.
At Free Flow, we value our volunteers, and see them as an irreplaceable asset to our organization! We endeavor to provide perks for our volunteers whenever possible such as free entrance to performances and events, swag bags and host an annual Volunteer appreciation party. The Fundraising coordinator will work closely with and be mentored by the office staff and Board of Directors of Free Flow Dance Theatre to help them understand the nature of the organization, it's short and long term strategic plans and funding needs. The Volunteer coordinator will help to recruit volunteers for the following types of positions:
Free Flow Dance Theatre sets their event and performance schedule for the entire season (Jan 1- Dec 31) well in advance so most dates are announced very early. We do occasionally have extra events that come up and we will notify the volunteer coordinator as soon as the information becomes available.

We believe that everyone can be a good volunteer if they are placed in the correct position and given the basic training! We endeavor to provide perks for our volunteers whenever possible such as free entrance to performances and events, swag bags and host an annual Volunteer appreciation party.
The Volunteer Coordinator role will work closely with and be mentored by the office staff The Coordinator will be given basic training concerning each of the volunteer roles used within the dance company and a schedule of our upcoming events. Should additional training opportunities arise we will provide information and if suitable the opportunity to attend, e.g. special volunteer training workshops. This is an extremely valued position within our organization and we look forward to hearing from potential candidates.
