Professional and emerging dancers are welcome to attend this in person Brain-Body Connection Professional Development Series hosted by Free Flow Dance Theatre free of charge. During this workshop, we will explore the capacity of the body on the floor and part of the philosophical knowledge that floor work, boxing, yoga, and different techniques of movement offer. Using techniques such as gymnastics, and parkour, passing through & flying low, we will explore the body’s capacity and adaptability. We will expand our understanding of the floor work techniques through more concepts of floor work, such as anchors, time and space, passing-though 101, and improvisation on the floor.
Last, we will explore the concepts involved in martial arts, such as action-reaction, defensive and offensive, breathing, momentum present, and some parkour and acrobatics movements.
This workshop is focused on professional dancers however we are open to movers of all levels.
Please note that there is no Zoom option offered for this workshop.
