Free Flow is pleased to announce our latest call for multiple artists! We look forward to a fantastic year full of collaborations with you! There are three opportunities to get involved with further details listed below!
We are seeking adult professional and emerging professional cultural dancers for our International Dance Day Celebration as well as both Painters and performers for the Body Paint Cabaret show this April. The W.I.P. New dance series begins on June 16th and we are now accepting applications from choreographers who would be interested in presenting new contemporary work.
All of our programs pay artist fees!

WE ARE SEEKING
Painters and Performers!
This season Free Flow Dance is thrilled to host the 2nd annual Body Paint Cabaret.
Acts should be approximately 4-8 minutes in length.
Performers and painters are very welcome to submit proposals together or individually and we will happily pair you up with someone.

WE PROVIDE
A space to paint your models in on the day of the show between 1pm and showtime.
Tables and chairs to work with along with drop cloths.
Cash prize of $250 for the winning team.
No entrance fee required this season.
We do not provide painting supplies or brushes.

International Dance Day

Call for performers of all dance styles and genres!
Free Flow Dance Theatre is hosting an International Dance Day Celebration Performance at the Free Flow Dance Centre, 224 25th St. W. Saskatoon, on Saturday April 28th at 7pm. ( There is the potential for a 2nd show on April 29th is our online fund raiser generates enough!)
We invite you to be a part of the world wide celebration of DANCE! All emerging-professional and professional adult dance groups or soloists are welcome to participate in this performance opportunity! Please email Jackie Latendresse as soon as possible at freeflowdance@hotmail.com to express your interest. You should include your contact name, phone number and email address as well as your form/style of dance. All acts should be between 4-7 minutes in length. Honorariums are available for professional groups this year. We are looking forward to another fantastic show this year!
W.I.P. New Dance Series

The W.I.P. (works in progress) Series in Saskatoon, is looking for professional and emerging choreographers to present original and innovative works in progress at the Free Flow Dance Centre 224 25th St. W. Saskatoon. Jackie Latendresse is the Series Coordinator. Informal showings will take place twice a year on June 16 and September 22. The season culminates in a winter Gala event of finished works. Date TBA.
Priority will be given to Saskatchewan and Canadian based artists however; international applications are encouraged. Please send:
- A brief description of the proposed W.I.P. (work in progress)
- A current dance resume. (include phone #, email and mailing address)
- A short statement detailing the type of audience feedback that would most help you to continue to develop your work.
- Using the guidelines from the Canadian Artists Code describe your status as professional or emerging. Guidelines are available at www.freeflowdance.com under the W.I.P. logo.
Applications are being accepted immediately and are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Up to five Choreographers will be accepted for each performance. There will be two in studio performances. An honorarium will be paid for professional artists and at each showing one artist will be selected and paid to instruct a special workshop as a part of the Brain Body Connection professional development series. Please include a description of the type of workshop you would like to present should you be selected. *Optional
W.I.P.’s should be an exploration using contemporary/modern or experimental style. Choreographers will receive no less than five and no greater than twelve minutes to present their work. They will be expected to speak about their work prior to the presentation of it for up to a maximum of ten minutes. Written feedback will be collected and distributed to the choreographers. All artists presented will be considered for participation in the final Gala of finished works in the autumn.

This is a hands on workshop so please plan to bring the following items:

Learn tips and tricks from Free Flow and Rosebud Artistic Director Jackie Latendresse. With 24 years of experience working in show biz Jackie has a lot of knowledge to share!
