Kaeja elevation course:
The series will provide warm ups and elevations exploration and possible task based choreography intone with the kaeja using point zero technique. An interactive experineces to elevate your partnering skills! “Kaeja Elevations® is a unique approach to partnering and lifting. It places participants from all experience levels on an equal playing field by using momentum, anchoring, and the architectural structure of the body, and breaks down the stereotypes of traditional partnering, allowing people of any gender to lift one another.
K.E. defined and created by Allen Kaeja, was developed from over three decades of refined exploration and collaboration with Karen Kaeja.
The technique is an approach to partnering where all genders, experience and physique are on a level playing field. Rooted in contact improvisation, K.E. relies on the architectural structure of two bodies interacting while complimented by gravity, momentum, propulsion, breath and flow. Kaeja d’Dance offers a variety of training and enrichment opportunities for students, professional dancers, and community members.” Come fly with us!
