In 2025, Free Flow Dance Theatre, Saskatoon’s premiere contemporary dance
company, marks its 30th anniversary. Founded in 1995 by choreographer Jackie Latendresse, Free Flow Dance Theatre has captivated audiences across Canada and throughout Saskatchewan with its innovative performances and commitment to making modern dance accessible to all. From its humble beginnings in Kitchener-Waterloo to its current stature as a cornerstone of the Saskatchewan dance scene, Free Flow Dance Theatre has consistently pushed boundaries, supported artists at all stages of their careers and promoted the importance of connecting to community through movement. Over the past three decades, the company has performed in cities across the country, from Vancouver to Toronto, in both traditional and unconventional venues to bring dance to diverse audiences. Free Flow Dance Theatre has built their legacy by creating meaningful connections through dance. Signature programs like the DisDances Series, Back Alley Antics, International Dance Week and the Brain Body Connection / Community Workshop Program have nurtured emerging artists, engaged community members, and showcased groundbreaking work.
Season Opener with Cassandra Stinn

The 30th anniversary season opens with a special multidisciplinary event in partnership with composer Cassandra Stinn. It will feature visuals that span the 30 years of Free Flow performances, spoken word by Ryan Bradshaw, dancer Alex Hartshorn performing Self Portrait of an Artist (collaboration with Monique Martin) to the newest composition by Cassandra Stinn and live musicians. Tickets $25 advance $30 (cash) at the door.
