Free Flow Dance Theatre Company is pleased to announce our Free Community Dance Workshop program funded by the City of Saskatoon, the Community Initiatives Fund, and Sasktel. This funding allows us to provide a series of FREE dance workshops to local community and non-profit organizations. Digital and in-person workshops are 30 – 90 minutes in length and offered in a variety of dance styles, which could include, movement for seniors, dance for every ability, beginner ballet, movement for relaxation, and creative movement. We believe that dance should be accessible to everyone. Contact us to get involved!
We anticipate being able to deliver a program tailored to your participant’s needs either via an online platform such as zoom or other live feed options.
Further questions and applications may be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also reach us by phone at (306) 665-5998. Please note: preference will be given to adult groups whose members would otherwise lack access to such programming. Youth workshops are also available upon request.
Free Flow Dance has been teaching free workshops to community organizations since 2009, including groups such as Sask Abilities, Central Haven Special Care Home, Saskatoon Convalescent Home, Oliver Lodge, International Women of Saskatoon, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Saskatoon, Global Gathering Place and the Open Door Society.
Here’s what some of the past participants had to say:
“Thank you all so much for the opportunity to move to the groove in such a relaxed judgement free environment.”
“You made me see my body in a new light.”
“…you as a team worked well together and adapted well to all the different physical and cognitive levels of the participants.”
“I learned to look for opportunities outside of the box for healing.”
“The staff at Free Flow adapted the program on a person to person and moment to moment basis to encompass all of our needs.”
“The enthusiasm you demonstrated was contagious. There were many smiles and laughter during and after the workshop.”
“It put me into a more positive way of thinking.”
