2022 was a wonderful season for Free Flow Dance Theatre Company. Here is a list of all of our accomplishments throughout the season:
- Wintercity YXE block party – featuring a performance by Free Flow and special guests The Salty Circus
- Terrill Maguire joined us for a month long residency in April where she set work on the women of the company
- Hosted a film screening of Terrill’s documentary and an informal showing of the works Resurgence and Sisterhood Songs
- International Dance Week Online featuring 7 nights of livestreamed performances showcasing 7 different new cross cultural collaborations
- Danny Grossman and Eddie Kastrau joined us for a month long residency in May where they set a new collaborative work by Jackie Latendresse and Danny on the company
- Hosted a film screening spotlighting the life of choreographer Danny Grossman and a work in progress showing of Earth: The Womb of Life (A Pantomime for Our Time)
- The Explorer-Quest for the Rotary Reptilian – 3 show run at Cosmopolitain Park
- Ness Creek Music Festival Preview of Enchanted Night Forest
- Back Alley Antics featuring new works by the company and guest Newton Moraes
- Newton Moraes joined us for a 2 month residency in the summer where he set his work Mulheres on the company
- Hosted a film screening of work by Newton Moraes
- Enchanted Night Forest 4 show run at President Murrary Park
- Nuit Blanche – Showing of Enchanted Night Forest
- Better Late Than Never 25th/27th year anniversary Gala- Reunite! 4 show run at the Refinery Arts and Spirit Centre
- Taught lessons to 8 local non-profit organizations through our Free Community Dance Workshop Program
- Hosted 11 different instructors who taught as part of our Brain Body Connection series
