As a part of our 25th anniversary, and as a way of reaching out to our the community at a time when that is particularly difficult to do, we are pleased to present Dance for Lunch the first Wednesday of each month at noon on Instagram @freeflowdancetheatre and soon on Facebook at our page, Free Flow Dance Theatre Company. Join our host, Mitchell Larsen, as he explores the world of dance in a series of short interviews, dance parties, and research extravaganzas.
Mitchell first started dancing with Free Flow in 2015. In addition to modern dance Mitchell has a background in theatre, originally training in theatre arts at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton. In this Dance for Lunch series Mitchell draws on his experience co-hosting local radio program, Mom, I’m a Thespian, as he takes us on this journey.
Every episode is exciting and different. We will be talking with members of the company as well as choreographers and dancers that we have worked with in the past or plan to work with in the future. We will be delving into some of the influences of the company, from Merce Cunningham to German Tanztheater. We will also be giving you opportunities to get up and explore movement in your own body.
If you have questions, ideas, suggestions feel free to contact Mitchell at Mitchellkentlarsen@gmail.com
