Relationship building in the dance world.
Have you wondered how to meet, connect with and solidify relationships with other artists, your peers, potential employers, or booking agents in the world of dance? Wanted tips on auditioning, resumes, dance reels, and attending guest workshops? Need advice entering the scene from grad school? You are welcome to attend.
Part one of this workshop will help you to figure out the basics of professional dance world etiquette, employer and employee expectations, and how to navigate it successfully.
Part two delves further into the nitty-gritty of the dance world helping you to develop yourself (your brand), gives direct feedback on your “sales” pitch, and provides success scenarios based on questions formulated in the first part of the workshop.
Please note that this class is not movement-based but is aimed to aid in professional development for dancers. Other artists may also benefit from this 2 part workshop. Please bring a notebook and pencil or pen and come with your questions. Advanced questions can be submitted via email to freeflowdance@gmail.com.
