Dancing across the universe

Pods live at River Landing

Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

We are pleased to announce that Free Flow Dance Theatre will be performing LIVE at the Wright amphitheatre on River Landing by the Pump House (the small amphitheatre along the upper path not the large one on the other side of Idylwyld by the water feature) on Saturday, September 19th.
We will be presenting two live performances of our work Pods. The first showing is at 12:30 pm and a 2nd showing will take place at 1:30 pm. These are free of charge but we will, of course, be passing the hat if anyone would care to make a donation to help cover permitting costs etc.
Please note that social dis-dancing rules will be in effect on the site and people are encouraged to wear masks. Free Flow endeavours to create a safe and comfortable environment for our audience members and dance artists. No more than 30 people are permitted at any one time in a public gathering. If you arrive and the viewing area is full please return for the 2nd showing. Thank you for your cooperation on this.
Pods is a very unique trio inspired by stop motion films of plant growth fused with alien lifeforms. The work features three performers encased inside of stretchy fabric pods which also each encompass a mini-trampoline. The dancers come to life breaking free from their pods in a beautiful and unusual performative work.
