Hello my name is Taylor and I am the new administrative assistant at Free Flow Dance Theatre. I joined Free Flow Dance Theatre company as a dancer in 2020. Despite the pandemic affecting the 2020 season plans with Free Flow I was still able to move to Saskatoon in September to join the company in person. I moved from Medicine Hat, AB where I was born and raised. From 2016-2020 I was living in Toronto attending York University, where I graduated with a BFA in Dance specializing in choreography and performance. I have continued dancing with Free Flow into 2021 and performed in both recent shows of Dis-Dances. I am so thankful for the opportunities Free Flow has provided me with for my performance career and I feel excited to be able to work behind the scenes of the company now too.
Since moving to Saskatoon I have got to explore the city and have learned it is such a beautiful place to live. I have seen some of the most breathtaking sunsets and have enjoyed going for walks along the river. My two favourite places to walk are River Landing and Rotary Park. I especially enjoyed these river walks in the fall when the leaves were changing colour. Another thing I have discovered about Saskatoon is how intense the winters can be. This was challenging at first, but it has also forced me to appreciate the beauty of winter and that dancing in the snow can be fun! I appreciate that everyone I have met here has been so friendly and helped me to feel welcomed. I am looking forward to this new role as the administrative assistant.
